Pueblo Mimbres is a combination of our wonderful States history of ancient Pueblo villages such as the Mimbres culture of the south, the artist loves all of the designs that come from there so he, in a very crafting way, created this unique painting – (the original on artist board) – with a traditional Sun Symbol in the center. On the original painting, the background is a salt and acrylic medium, with petroglyphs carved in!
I have been painting for over 42 years and I am just one of many talented grandchildren of famed San Ildefonso Pueblo Potter Maria Martinez.
