About the artist: Jerome L. Martinez is a self-taught Native American painter from San Ildefonso Pueblo, New Mexico, and a great-grandson of world-famous potter Maria Martinez. Jerome has been painting for over 40 years, drawing from ancestral stories, ceremonial life, and traditional Pueblo pottery designs. Jerome is retired from the National Park Service at Bandelier National Monument.
