Sacred Corn - new, was the second of many versions bearing this title. It is a powerful image of a single cornstalk surrounded by the San Ildefonso Turkey feather design. and at the sides are two squash blossom designs, the corn stalk has four ears of corn, blue, white, yellow and red. This a painting that represents fertility and growth.
I have been painting for over 42 years and I am just one of many talented grandchildren of famed San Ildefonso Pueblo Potter Maria Martinez.
