Mary's Prayer was created in honor of my mother Mary who was called by the Creator in 2008. The Hummingbird is her spirit, there have been numerous occasions where this beautiful delightful creature has shown herself as result of prayers and just when the family was in need of a positive sign. This is a painting of hope and love.
I have been painting for over 42 years and I am just one of many talented grandchildren of famed San Ildefonso Pueblo Potter Maria Martinez.
